Fernandes punishes Germany, second cap for Pavlovic

The last of Sampdoria’s international contingent played their final matches of the March break last night and will now return to Bogliasco ahead of Monday’s trip to Inter.

Daniel Pavlovic received his second cap for Bosnia & Herzegovina as he came on in the 78th minute of their 2-1 friendly win over Albania at Elbasan Arena. Edin Dzeko and Senad Lulic fired Bosnia into a 2-0 lead before half time, with Bekim Balaj pulling one back for Albania after the break.

Portugal U21 captain Bruno Fernandes stole the headlines with a sumptuous volleyed effort to secure a 1-0 win over Germany in Stuttgart.

Samp Primavera goalkeeper Titas Krapikas made his Lithuania U21 debut on 25 March as he started their 2-1 home defeat to Belarus (Hramyka 27, Bessmertny 56, Momkus 72). Krapikas also started against Latvia on Tuesday afternoon and was brought off at half time as Lithuania won 3-0 (Baniulis 15, Kani 30, Konikas 59).
