Muriel, Sala and Schick return to group training, closed session on Friday

There was good news for Marco Giampaolo on Thursday as Luis Muriel, Jacopo Sala and Patrik Schick returned to group training for the first time since their respective injuries. Emiliano Viviano took part in his second group session since stepping up his own return.

After a warm-up of fitness exercises and technique drills, the Blucerchiati worked through a series of practice games on the upper pitch in Bogliasco, with Primavera youngsters Pietro Cavagnaro, Andrea Tessiore and Michal Tomic all taking part.

Samp will train behind closed doors on Friday morning as the trip to Lazio looms ever closer.
