U21: Andersen and Kownacki on winning sides

Denmark continued their impressive form in their bid to qualify for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Joachim Andersen and his team-mates picked up their fourth victory in as many games, emerging on top against Finland in their Group 3 clash. The Danish side outclassed their opponents in Helsinki, winning 5-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Robert Skov, and goals from Mikel Duelund and Marcus Ingvartsen. The Samp defender played until the 68th minute, when he was replaced by Asger Sorensen.

Meanwhile, the other Doria player involved was also on the winning side. Dawid Kownacki captained his Polish side to a 2-0 win away in Lithuania, with Pawel Tomczyk and Konrad Michalak scoring second-half goals. After a 3-3 draw just days previously, the Poland team secured precious points in their quest to qualify for the tournament, to be hosted in Italy and San Marino. They sit behind table-toppers Denmark with 7 points.
