Double session in Bogliasco, Zapata the only player missing
Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria squad had a double training session at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco today as they prepare for Sunday’s visit of Atalanta.
In the morning, the players warmed up before focusing on strength work in the gym and rounding the session off with some high-intensity tactical shifts. In the afternoon session, Doria warmed up without the ball before doing some shooting practice and working through a series of mini practice games.
Filip Djuricic was fit enough to take part in group training, while Primavera youngsters Mario Curito, Joao Claudio Gomes Ricciulli, Andrea Tessiore and Ivan Vujcic were also involved.
Leonardo Capezzi continued working on his recovery plan, while Gaston Ramirez and Karol Linetty did individual recovery work. The Pole took part in the afternoon session as usual alongside his compatriot Bartosz Bereszynski, who was back in Bogliasco together with Joachim Andersen and Dawid Kownacki (both of whom had recovery sessions). Duvan Zapata – the last Doria man still away on international duty – is expected back on Thursday afternoon.
