Squad divided in groups for training; injury news for Linetty and Strinic

Marco Giampaolo carried on from training yesterday and divided the squad into two groups again for Monday’s session on the eve of the Coppa Italia tie against Pescara.

Those who played against Bologna on Saturday had another light recovery session, while the rest went through mixed muscle-activation exercises and practice matches. The squad came together at the end to work on set pieces.

In the morning, Karol Linetty and Ivan Strinic underwent tests that revealed a slight muscle tear in the right thigh of the former and muscular problems in the left thigh of the latter. The pair have already started their respective recovery programmes.

There will be one final session behind closed doors tomorrow morning before the visit of Pescara in the evening. The squad list will be released after training.
