Quagliarella returns to full training as focus turns to Sassuolo

Quickly moving on from Wednesday’s Coppa Italia exit at the hands of Fiorentina, the team got straight back to work on Thursday to kick off their preparations for Sunday’s home game against Sassuolo.

The Blucerchiati were split into two groups for the afternoon session: those who played in Florence worked in the gym and did some aerobic exercises on the lower pitch while the remainder of the squad had a regular session. Fabio Quagliarella trained with the rest of the squad for the first time since picking up a knock against Cagliari.

Dawid Kownacki trained separately while Karol Linetty continued with his personalised recovery programme.

The players will be back in Bogliasco for another training session on Friday morning.
