Morning session in two groups, Christmas off for Doria

Sampdoria had their final training session before Christmas on Sunday as they returned to Bogliasco following Saturday’s admirable showing at Napoli.

After a meeting in the video room, the Blucerchiati were split into two groups with those involved for all or most of the match at the Stadio San Paolo working through a recovery session in the gym and out on the pitches. The rest of the squad trained as normal.

Karol Linetty was fit to take part in regular training, with the Pole also working through an additional fitness section. Primavera youngsters Matteo Raspa and Andrea Tessiore joined in with the first-team squad, while Duvan Zapata worked in the pool.

Marco Giampaolo has granted his team the day off on Christmas Day. Samp will be back at the Mugnaini to continue preparing for the SPAL game on Tuesday afternoon.
