Bereszynski and Quagliarella back in full training. Press conference on Friday

With all the international players bar Ivan Strinic now back in Bogliasco, the squad began to ratchet up preparations for their game against Chievo Verona when they hit the training ground on Thursday morning.

Bartosz Bereszynski and Fabio Quagliarella joined in with rest of the group for the first time this week, as the coaching staff put the Blucerchiati through a series of technical and tactical drills with Saturday’s opponents in mind.

Primavera trio Alex Pastor, Ognjen Stijepovic and Andrea Tessiore were drafted in to make up the numbers.

Joachim Andersen missed training again due to flu while Edgar Barreto and Dawid Kownacki pushed on with their respective personalised programmes involving physio and strength work in the gym.

On Friday the team will train again in the morning before Marco Giampaolo sits down with the media at 13:00 CEST to preview the Chievo match. As always, we’ll have live updates on Twitter and video highlights on Samp TV a bit later.
