Work begins in Bogliasco ahead of derby, afternoon session on Thursday

Sampdoria were straight back to work in Bogliasco on Wednesday following Tuesday night’s impressive win over Atalanta, with this Saturday’s derby clash against Genoa already looming large.

With those involved for most of the Atalanta win working through a recovery session, the rest of the squad trained as usual outside with Primavera youngsters Yassin Ejjaki, Alex Pastor, Ognjen Stijepovic and Andrea Tessiore joining in.

Ricky Alvarez received treatment and physiotherapy after picking up a right knee knock yesterday, while Edgar Barreto, Dawid Kownacki, Fabio Quagliarella and Ivan Strinic had individual sessions.

The squad will train again on Thursday afternoon.
