Training continues ahead of Sassuolo trip, morning session on Friday

Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Thursday morning to continue their preparations for Sunday’s trip to Mapei Stadium to take on Sassuolo.

After a meeting in the video room, the squad worked through a series of exercises and drills before rounding things off with a practice game.

Fabio Quagliarella and Duvan Zapata were both fit enough to join in with the rest of the group for part of the session, which also saw participation from Primavera youngsters Ibourahima Balde, Titas Krapikas, Ognjen Stijepovic and Andrea Tessiore. Gianluca Caprari had a tailored session with the ball out on the pitches, while Ricky Alvarez and Nicola Murru continued working on their individual recovery plans.

The squad will be back at the training ground tomorrow morning.
