Tactical drills with Sassuolo on the horizon. Press conference on Saturday

Preparations for Sunday’s visit to Mapei Stadium continued on Friday morning when the squad reconvened at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini in Bogliasco.

Gianluca Caprari resumed training with the rest of the squad – which was further bolstered by Primavera youngsters Ibourahima Balde, Alessandro Gabbani, Ognjen Stijepovic and Andrea Tessiore – as the coaching staff put the players through a series of tactical drills with the Sassuolo game in mind.

Ricky Alvarez, Nicola Murru and Duvan Zapata meanwhile continued with their respective individual recovery programmes.

The team will train behind closed doors on Saturday morning before Marco Giampaolo sits down with the media around 13:00 for his traditional pre-match news conference.
