Strinic plays full match as Croatia beat Nigeria in World Cup opener
Ivan Strinic played the full 90 minutes as his Croatia team got off to a winning start at Russia 2018.
The Croatians, led by Zlatko Dalic, beat Nigeria 2-0 in Kaliningrad and currently lead Group D.
Oghenekaro Etebo scored an own-goal just after the half-hour mark and captain Luka Modric completed the scoring on 72 minutes from the penalty spot.
The team are next in action on 21 June in Novgorod when they will play Argentina, in which they could seal passage to the last 16.
