Russia 2018: Cavani double puts Uruguay and Torreira through to the quarter-finals
Lucas Torreira featured for the full 90 minutes as Uruguay continued their World Cup winning streak and knocked Portugal out of the tournament with a 2-1 win at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi.
The round-of-16 match was decided by Edinson Cavani, who scored two splendid goals either side of a Pepe header to send the South American side through to face France, who themselves beat Argentina 4-3 earlier in the day.
The Samp midfielder appears to have made the defensive midfield role in front of the defence his own, producing an impressive display.
