Introducing Ognjen Stijepovic: “I want to improve and score a goal for the fans”
Born in Podgorica in 1999, Ognjen Stijepovic is the youngest player in Marco Giampaolo’s first-team squad.
However, despite his age, the young striker is determined to grasp his opportunity with the senior side. After just half a season with the Blucerchiati Primavera, the talented Montenegrin forward was called up for the pre-season training camp in Ponte di Legno and tour of England.
“The coach is a great professional,” says Stijepovic. “I’m really grateful to him and I’m learning a lot.”
In an exclusive interview with U.C. Sampdoria’s Official Media channel, Stijepovic shares his story – from his first steps in the game to this summer’s adventures via his Serie A debut against Sassuolo: “We lost that Sunday, but I have a great memory of it. What a feeling! I want to improve at Samp.”
