Training resumes minus ten internationals, double session on Thursday

Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Thursday to resume training, with Joachim Andersen, Emil Audero, Vid Belec, Bartosz Bereszynski, Albin Ekdal, Jakub Jankto, Dawid Kownacki, Karol Linetty, Ognjen Stijepovic and Ronaldo Vieira all missing due to international commitments.

The squad kicked things off with some fitness tests in the morning, followed by a range of technique drills, tactical exercises and more fitness work in the afternoon. Primavera youngsters Yassin Ejjaki, Daouda Peeters and Matteo Raspa all took part in the latter session.

Nicola Murru and Lorenzo Tonelli trained separately, while Dennis Praet focused on fitness exercises and pool work. Riccardo Saponara received physiotherapy, with Vasco Regini continuing to work on his personal recovery plan.

Samp will have a double training session on Thursday.
