Tactics in groups ahead of Napoli clash, final session and press conference on Friday

Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria squad had their penultimate session of the week at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Thursday as they continue to prepare for Saturday’s trip to face Napoli.

The squad was split up by position for a tailored tactics session, with Edgar Barreto, Jacopo Sala and Lorenzo Tonelli working through individual personalised sessions.

Gianluca Caprari received treatment, while Dawid Kownacki, Maxime Leverbe and Vasco Regini were given permission to miss training.

The squad will train again on Friday morning, with Giampaolo set to hold his pre-match press conference at 13:00 CET (live updates on Twitter, round-up to follow on YouTube).
