Gabbiadini and Quagliarella back in full training ahead of AC Milan clash

Manolo Gabbiadini and Fabio Quagliarella were back in full training with the rest of the squad on Thursday as Samp pushed on with preparations for Saturday’s match against AC Milan at the Stadio Ferraris.

After a session in the video room, the players moved out to the pitch for a warm-up followed by technical and tactical drills, with Walter Sabatini and Carlo Osti watching on.

The fitness of the three international players who returned with various niggles is being closely monitored. Bartosz Bereszynski, in his first session back in Bogliasco, did regeneration work in the gym and on the pitch. Albin Ekdal and Ronaldo Vieira meanwhile had morning and afternoon sessions focusing on physiotherapy, with Vieira also doing some work in the pool.

Gianluca Caprari continued with his rehabilitation programme, which included fitness exercises outside. Edgar Barreto had physiotherapy and worked in the gym.

The Blucerchiati will next train on Friday morning before Marco Giampaolo sits down with the media around 13:00 to preview the game.
