Sunday at work for the Blucerchiati; departure for Novara on Monday afternoon

Sampdoria were straight back into training this morning following last night’s victory against AC Milan, as attention turns to Torino on Wednesday.

The players involved at the Marassi on Saturday evening had a recovery session in the pool, while the rest of the squad started with strength conditioning in the gym before continuing outdoors with a technical and tactical session. The squad numbers were bolstered by youth-team prospects Davide Canovi and Simone Trimboli. Vice president Antonio Romei as well as sporting directors Walter Sabatini and Carlo Osti were in attendance at Bogliasco.

Albin Ekdal had a physio session for the injury he picked up in Sweden’s trip to Norway. Gianluca Caprari upped his return to fitness with higher intensity fitness and technical workout. Edgar Barreto continued his recovery in the gym.

Marco Giampaolo has planned a morning training session before in the afternoon setting off for Novara, where Samp will continue preparations for the Torino game.
