Training resumes in groups at rainy Bogliasco, afternoon session and conference on Friday

Sampdoria kicked off preparations for Saturday night’s match against Roma at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Thursday morning following Wednesday’s defeat at Torino.

Those involved for all or most of the Torino game (including Omar Colley, who has been given the all-clear after taking a blow to the jaw) worked through a recovery session. Meanwhile, the rest of the players focused on individual strength work in the gym before concentrating on technique drills out on the pitch.

Edgar Barreto and Gianluca Caprari continued working on their recovery programmes, while Albin Ekdal trained alone in the gym.

Samp will train against on Friday afternoon, with Marco Giampaolo’s pre-match press conference set to follow at 17:00 CEST (live updates on Twitter, summary to follow on YouTube).
