Technique and tactics ahead of Genoa derby with president Ferrero watching on

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero was at the training ground in Bogliasco on Thursday to observe Marco Giampaolo and the Blucerchiati as they continued to prepare for the Genoa derby on Sunday.

With vice president Antonio Romei and club directors Carlo Osti and Walter Sabatini watching on, Doria – including Gianluca Caprari and Albin Ekdal – had a video analysis session before working through a range of technique and tactics drills on Pitch 1. The session came to an end with a practice game featuring ten academy products.

Edgar Barreto continued working on his recovery from injury, while Joachim Andersen spent time in the pool and Junior Tavares worked alone outside as a precaution.

Samp will train again on Friday morning.
