Jankto’s Czech Republic overtaken by Kosovo in Euro 2020 qualifying
Czech Republic suffered a setback in their bid to reach next year’s European Championship as Kosovo came from behind to beat them in Pristina on Saturday afternoon.
Patrik Schick put the visitors in front after 16 minutes but goals by Vedat Muriqi (20) and Mergim Vojvoda (67) turned the match on its head.
Jakub Jankto played the full 90 minutes.
The result sees Kosovo move into second place in Group A on eight points, two clear of the Czechs behind group leaders England.
Jankto and Co. will look to bounce back when they visit Montenegro in Podgorica on Tuesday 10 September.
