Work resumes in Bogliasco: Maroni returns to group training, double session on Tuesday

Eusebio Di Francesco’s Sampdoria squad returned to the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Monday to kick off their preparations for Saturday afternoon’s trip to the Bentegodi to take on Hellas Verona.

Gonzalo Maroni had his first session back with the squad since injuring himself in the Coppa Italia clash with Crotone back on 18 August. He trained with those players not involved from the start against Inter at the weekend, with fitness drills, technique exercises and practice games on the menu. Alex Ferrari also took part.

The players who have been heavily involved in the last three league games had a recovery session and worked out in the gym.

Andrea Seculin was back outside but trained alone. Manolo Gabbiadini received treatment and physiotherapy and focused on his individual recovery plan.

Samp will have a double session on Tuesday.
