Technique and tactics at the Mugnaini, morning session on Friday

Sampdoria continued their preparations for Saturday night’s Derby della Lanterna against Genoa with another training session at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Thursday morning.

Claudio Ranieri and his coaching staff led the squad – as well as U18 keeper Petar Zovko – through a session of technique drills, tactics, practice games, attacking movement and finishing practice.

Fabio Depaoli spent some of the time with the group for the second session in a row, while Manolo Gabbiadini, Mehdi Leris and Gaston Ramirez worked with the squad for the first part of the session before rounding the morning off with individual work outside.

Jakub Jankto received treatment and physiotherapy and had a tailored session as planned, while Federico Bonazzoli continued to work on his recovery plan and Edgar Barreto had a session in the pool.

Bartosz Bereszynski has completed the initial part of his rehab in Poznan and will return to Genoa in the coming days.

Samp will be back on the training pitch for their fourth session of the week on Friday morning.
