Last session of 2019. Back on 2 January to resume prep for AC Milan

Sampdoria have had just over 200 training sessions at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in 2019. This morning they signed off the year with the last of six back-to-back sessions following the Christmas break.

After warming up the Blucerchiati did some technical and tactical drills then finished with some aerobic work.

Bartosz Bereszynski and Federico Bonazzoli again completed the full session with the rest of the team, for the third and second day respectively. Edgar Barreto, Andrea Bertolacci, Fabio Depaoli and Nicola Murru all did personalised work in the gym and on the pitch.

Albin Ekdal has some mild flu-like symptoms and did not train as a precaution.

Alex Ferrari’s condition will be reassessed later this week following the injury he picked up in training last Friday.

Claudio Ranieri has given the team New Year’s Day off. The squad will report back for training on Thursday 2 January to continue preparations for Monday’s visit to AC Milan.
