Ranieri names 23-man squad for Napoli clash

Claudio Ranieri has named a 23-man squad for the visit of Napoli to Marassi on Monday night.

The squad announcement came at the end of Doria’s fifth training session of the week ahead of the game on Sunday. New signing Maya Yoshida had his first training session with his new team-mates after arriving at the training ground in the late morning.

After a warm-up, the squad focused on fitness drills, technique exercises and tactics before rounding things off with some set-piece work.

Bartosz Bereszynski – who is suspended for the visit of Napoli – had a planned individual session, while Fabio Depaoli continued working on his recovery plan and Alex Ferrari received physiotherapy.

Kristoffer Askildsen (No.16) and Antonino La Gumina (No.17) are named in the first-team squad for the very first time.

Below is the squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Audero, Falcone, Seculin.

Midfielders: Askildsen, Barreto, Bertolacci, Ekdal, Jankto, Leris, Linetty, Thorsby, Vieira.

Forwards: Bonazzoli, Gabbiadini, La Gumina, Maroni, Quagliarella, Ramirez.
