In-house friendly at the Mugnaini, morning session on Thursday

Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Wednesday to continue their preparations ahead of the impending return of Italian football.

After an initial warm-up, Ranieri and his coaching staff split the squad into two groups for a full-size practice game lasting an hour. It was another win for the orange bibs following their victory on Saturday, with Manolo Gabbiadini and Mehdi Leris scoring in a 2-1 win. Morten Thorsby got the goal for the other team.

Alex Ferrari didn’t take part in the match as he continued with his recovery work, which has now moved out onto the grass.

Samp will train again on Thursday morning.
