Askildsen: “It’s good to be the first millennial to score”
A beautiful curling right-footed strike by Kristoffer Askildsen was the first Sampdoria goal scored by a player born since the turn of the millennium. The shot got the better of an in-form Gianluigi Donnarumma and while the 4-1 scoreline wasn’t memorable in itself, the Norwegian midfielder certainly won’t forget the match against Milan in a hurry.
“I feel good for my first Serie A goal and go down in Samp history, but, of course, we wanted to get some points, at least one. We’ve lost a few games recently, so we have to try on Saturday against Brescia to finish the campaign with a victory. I’ve been learning so much this season from each of my team-mates, which is so important to me.”
