Bereszynski: “Two points dropped”

It was a goal seven years in the making. The last time Bartosz Bereszynski hit the back of the net was back in 2014, when he played for Legia Warsaw. On Sunday afternoon, he produced an excellent finish to draw Samp level against Cagliari. It was just a shame it could send Doria on the way to three points.

“I’m glad to have scored – it’s a wonderful thing, but I can’t celebrate today, because, we’ve dropped two points today. We can’t be conceding in the final second,” Bereszynski said after the match.

“We have to respect the point we’ve picked up and look to the next game, against Bologna.”

He added: “We were trailing 1-0 in the first half,  but in the second we made a really good start. I’m glad I got the first one. I’m happy for Manolo [Gabbiadini] too, because he’s returning from injury, which is important.

“However we’ve dropped two points today – we were at home, and winning 2-1.”
