Damsgaard at the double, Bereszynski enjoys winning feeling
Sunday saw more Sampdoria players involved in international action for their countries – check out the details below.
Denmark. Mikkel Damsgaard was in inspired form for Denmark as they beat Moldova by a record 8-0 scoreline (Dolberg pen. 19, 48, Damsgaard 22, 29, Stryger Larsen 35, Jensen 39, Skov 82, Ingvartsen 90). Damsgaard netted twice in the space of seven first-half minutes to open his account for Denmark, as well as providing two assists for team-mates as he played the full 90 minutes. The result means Denmark are two from two in Group F of 2022 World Cup qualifying.
Poland. It was a good night too for Bartosz Bereszynski, whose Poland side comfortably beat Andorra 3-0 (Lewandowski 30, 55, Swiderski 88). Bereszynski started the game and remained on the field of play until the hour mark as Poland moved onto four points in 2022 World Cup qualifying Group I.
