Caputo, Chabot and Verre score in friendly win

With no Serie A matches this weekend due to the international break, Roberto D’Aversa’s side were put through their paces in a friendly match in Bogliasco against Ternana.

Samp, who were bolstered by a few players from the Primavera squad, ran out 3-1 winners. Francesco Caputo opened the scoring after 25 minutes with a composed finish having been played through one on one.

After the break, Julian Chabot headed home a second following a well-worked corner on 70 minutes. Valerio Verre added a third just five minutes later, lobbing the opposition keeper after a driving run forward.

Ternana pulled a goal back through Christian Capone with only five minutes on the clock, rounding off what was a good run-out for the Blucerchiati.

Aside from those away on international duty, Audero, Gabbiadini, Ihattaren, Murru, Torregrossa and Vieira sat out the friendly and trained separately.

The squad will be back in training on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their clash with Inter.
