D’Aversa: “Udinese a tricky game, but we have to win”

On the eve of the game against Udinese, Roberto D’Aversa spoke from the training ground in Bogliasco asking his players to turn good performances into results.

“I have heard and read that the next matches will be easier for us, but I don’t believe it,” the coach began. “I prefer tough games. In this first part of the season, we’ve shown a lot of quality, but now the time has come to get points. We have to go out onto the pitch with the will to move up the table. During the week, we’ve kept our heads down; now it’s time to show what we’re made of.”

The boss also offered his take on Sunday’s opponents.

“Udinese are a very physical side, well-organised and with very good players in open play. It’s a game full of potential traps. We’ll have to do our best to win, without allowing counter-attacks and being very careful when the ball is free, because that’s when they can cause us problems. We have to finish off this second group of games with a win, so that we can train calmly and effectively during the international break.”
