Samp B defeat Real Vicenza 8-2

Sampdoria B made light work of Real Vicenza B in the second friendly of the day as Eusebio Di Francesco’s waltzed to an 8-2 victory.

With Bartosz Bereszynski captaining the team playing at centre-back alongside Omar Colley, Doria shot out of the blocks and took a 4th-minute lead through Federico Bonazzoli.

Ten minutes later Valerio doubled Samp’s advantage, rounding off a nicely worked team move.

Ronaldo Vieira got on the score sheet on 18 minutes before Verre notched his second of the day following a brilliant through ball from Gonzalo Maroni.

Kyriakidis pulled one back for the visiting side before the break following a corner but Manolo Gabbiadini restored Samp’s four-goal lead before the half-time whistle, which came after half an hour of play.

The second period was barely a minute old when Gabbiadini was brought down in the box. The big man dusted himself down and sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot to make it six.

Five minutes later the referee awarded another penalty down the other end, which Konstantinidis converted to make it a tennis scoreline (6-2).

Ten minutes before time Vieira added a seventh before Mohamed Bahlouli, who replaced Maroni at the start of the second half, capped it all off with a magnificent overheard kick from Bonazzoli’s superb lobbed pass – a fitting way to bring Doria’s first week in Ponte di Legno came to a close.
