Samp eSports Weekend: watch live on Twitch

An exciting few days await in the form of Samp eSports Weekend, a three-day event running from Saturday 2 May to Monday 4 May in which Sampdoria will face off against eight other big clubs from six different countries in Europe and South America.

Fans will be able to watch every match-up on the brand-new @sampdoria_eSports Twitch channel, which is launching for the occasion. But that’s not all: some lucky fans will even get the chance to face off against our very own pro gamers, while the gamers will also connect with two of our first-team footballers for a unique interview feature.

Saturday will be entirely dedicated to PES 2020, with Nicolò Teclas93 Sesto and Francesco FranBartoz Bartolozzi in action for Sampdoria. They’ll take on Nantes (16:00 CEST, Kepa_FPC), Inter | Qlash (17:00 CEST, Kirita Yuuki), Boavista (18:00 CEST, Barboza) and Hellas Verona (18:50 CEST, AlonsoGrayfox) in a series of best of three clashes.

At 17:45 CEST on Saturday, Teclas will link up with Fabio Depaoli for a chat about all things football – both virtual and physical. Finally, to round of Day 1, at 19:30 CEST FranBartoz will take on three fans in Beat The Pro, as the amateurs attempt to get the better of the professionals.

It’s FIFA20’s turn on Sunday, when Mattia Lonewolf92 Guarracino and Thomas ASAPTOM96 Saiani will take on four fearsome opponents: St. Pauli (16:00 CEST, FCSP_Kolla and FCSP_Noah), Sporting Clube de Portugal (17:00 CEST, Bruno Rato), Villarreal (18:00 CEST, Ralfitita) and Huracan (18:50 CEST, Maatihuracan). At 17:45 CEST, Jakub Jankto will come online for a chat with Lonewolf, ASAPTOM96 will take on five fans as part of Beat The Pro. Simply DM us on the @sampdoria_eSports Instagram account if you want to take part.

The grand finale will take place on Monday 4 May. After spending plenty of time watching eSports, the Sampdoria fans will have a chance to roll up their sleeves and have a go themselves as part of the #SafeandSamp eCup, an open Overall 85 tournament which will crown Samp’s best amateur gamer.
