Empty-handed: Candreva and Lulic launch Lazio. We’re ready for a prompt revenge against Inter

come back home from the Capital empty-handed and hungry – considering
the starting time of the match – for the thirteenth time over 18
official matches played against Lazio. On the whole, Sinisa Mihajlovic’s guys –
the Serbian attended the match in the grandstand because of the
disqualification and was replaced by the vice-mister, Nenad Sakic – played
better than the locals and faced a ten-men Lazio for most of the match
but they overpaid a double defensive distraction added to a lack of
determination in the attacking phase.

Regret. After a balanced starting, Samp prevails over Edy Reja’s Lazio with a series of dangerous tactical schemes in place-kick. The blucerchiati, in black uniform, can’t hurt and Lazio punishes them: in the 42nd minute in fact Candreva takes advantage of an assist by Keita and gives his team the lead. There is no the expected reaction, not even in the 12th minute of the second half, when Biglia earns the second yellow and must leave the field. Despite playing against a ten-men team, Angelo Palombo & Co. don’t find the heart of the matter and suffer the second goal, scored by Lulic. The two penalties, rightly demanded by Eder Citadin Martins and Stefano Okaka, are not enough to reduce the regret for the defeat.

Inter. «In the first half we had some good occasions in place kicks – explains Sakic at the end of the match – but we weren’t lucky. Then, we suffered the first goal after a defensive distraction. We wanted to do better in the second half but we didn’t have the right reaction. We are sorry, we accept this defeat and we’re going to prepare next match as best as we can». Lorenzo De Silvestri adds: «We thought we could continue the positive series, but unfortunately we couldn’t. Next match is against Inter and it is not easy, but we’ll raise again».
