A five-star Napoli: Eder and Wszolek make the defeat milder

We
would have certainly expected a different end for the last home match of
the season. In the touching day dedicated to Vujadin Boskov’s memory, Napoli’s
blitz, in military uniform, defeat a Sampdoria not enough concrete in
the attacking phase and too distracted in the defensive one; a team that
without doubt would have hoped to leave its public with a different
result, but that was forced to surrender to Rafa Benítez and his
offensive potential.

Heavy defeat. Only two attacks and the guests make it 0-2 with Zapata (19th) and Insigne (27th), then at the minute 30th Eder Citadin Martins tries to re-open the match. However, the 1-2 lasted only for two minutes: Callejón beats Vincenzo Fiorillo on a free-kick and makes it 1-3. In the second half Samp tries to react but the blucerchiati leave too much field to the Partenopei, who make it 1-5 thanks to Hamsik (2nd) and to an own goal by Shkodran Mustafi (16th). In the last minutes of the match, the Polish Pawel Wszolek scores a wonderful left-footed goal and celebrates his first one since his arrival in Italy but it doesn’t change things and it’s a bitter (and even excessive) pill to swallow.

Respect. «I think that for 30 minutes we played on the same level and we created lots of occasions – said Sinisa Mihajlovic  -. I read the stats: 18 shots for us, only two for them. However, Napoli took advantage of occasions, we didn’t. We can also say that the second and the third goals could have been avoided, but we deserved to loose against the team with the best attack in Italy. My future? We’ll meet, talk and decide during the week. If we don’t find any agreement, I’ll look for other solutions. I’m not the kind of person who keeps a foot in both camps. It’s all about respect, for the Club, the players and everyone else».
