Viviano tells Marca: “I’m almost ready to return”
It’s been a long summer for Emiliano Viviano, but now he says the wait is nearly over – sooner than was expected.
The Samp goalkeeper, who suffered an ACL injury at the end of last season, has revealed in an interview with Marca that he should return to first-team action after the international break. “It’s my second knee injury but it’s fine now. I’ve recovered quickly and now I have to recover my physical condition. I think I’ll play after the international break.”
The 31-year-old also reflected on an eventful career path which has taken him via Palermo, Florence and London. “I didn’t get to play at Arsenal but I don’t have any regrets. I look back on it as a great experience.”
