Internationals start filtering back as work begins for Inter

After enjoying a two-day break over the international weekend, Sampdoria resumed training on Tuesday as they start focusing their attention on next Monday’s visit to Inter.

Marco Giampaolo ran the session on the top pitch for his troops, minus Bruno Fernandes, Titas Krapikas and Daniel Pavlovic, who remain away on international duty, and Dennis Praet, who was allowed to take the day off.

After warming up with some strength work, the players did technical drills and played some training games.

Angelo Palombo, Lucas Torreira and Emiliano Viviano completed the full programme with the rest of the squad while Jacopo Sala and Bartosz Bereszynski joined in for part of the session.

Primavera lads Roberto Criscuolo, Maxime Leverbe and Andrea Tessiore were drafted in to make up the numbers.

Karol Linetty and Milan Skriniar did light training on their own following their recent international commitments while Patrik Schick had physiotherapy and did some work in the pool and the gym.

Luis Muriel had a session in the pool as he begins his recovery programme.

The squad will be back in Bogliasco on Wednesday morning for their next training session.
