Training resumes in Bogliasco, Capezzi ankle sprain confirmed

Sampdoria returned to training at a sunny Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Tuesday. The Blucerchiati first-team squad – plus Primavera youngster Andrea Tessiore – focused on fitness exercises, technical drills, possession work and practice games.

Karol Linetty was back from international duty and trained separately as a precaution, while Filip Djuricic also worked out alone both on the pitch and in the gym.

Tests confirmed that Leonardo Capezzi suffered a sprained right ankle in the friendly against Carrarese. The midfielder has already begun physiotherapy and pool work as part of his recovery.

The squad will have a double helping of training on Wednesday. Fans will not be able to come and watch as the training ground is still closed to the public for work.
