Technical and tactical drills ahead of Sassuolo clash

A video meeting, a warm-up, technical and tactical drills and individual gym work were all on the agenda for today’s training session in Bogliasco. Jakub Jankto, who trained separately on Thursday because of a bout of the flu, was available to Claudio Ranieri once again and joined up with the rest of the squad.

The only player who trained separately at the Mugnaini was Fabio Depaoli, who is recovering from the injury to his left ankle that he picked up against AC Milan. Alex Ferrari, meanwhile, continues his rehabilitation in Bologna, following on from surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. U18 goalkeeper Petar Zovko has been added to the squad.

The final training session before Sunday’s clash with Sassuolo will take place on Saturday morning. The squad will meet up in the evening as part of the ritiro ahead of the meeting with the Neroverdi, with the game set to kick off at 15:00 CET on Sunday at the Ferraris.
